According to a report by ABP Ananda, Sourav Ganguly will be present at the Delhi Capitals table at the IPL 2025 mega auction. He will play a major role as to which players the team will buy for the next three years, and which players would be retained ahead of the auction.
Sourav Ganguly To Be Restored From IPL 2027
The report also states that Sourav Ganguly will be reinstated as the Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals from IPL 2027, once the Parth Jindal-owned JSW group is back managing the affairs at the franchise. He was recently appointed as the Director of Cricket at the JSW group. Ganguly will continue to look after affairs at the Delhi Capitals WPL team, and the Pretoria Capitals franchise at SA20.
Who Will Delhi Capitals Retain?
According to a report by The Times of India, the Delhi Capitals are looking to retain the three Team India pillars Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. However, the report also states that Pant might not be made captain for the next season, especially after his cryptic post on X where he suggested that he might leave the Delhi Capitals and put his name up in the auction.
