India are currently taking on Australia in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. As Australia came in to bat for their second innings, India aimed to bowl them out as early as possible, so that they have less number of runs to chase in the fourth innings. Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the show as usual for India with the ball. He picked up four wickets in the third innings and managed to break yet another record that was held by the great Anil Kumble.
Jasprit Bumrah picked up the crucial wickets of Sam Konstas, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey in the third innings. The star fast bowler now has 142 wickets in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) in Tests. This is the most by an Indian bowler now. Bumrah broke the record of Anil Kumble, who had taken 141 Test wickets in SENA Countries.

Jasprit Bumrah Scalps 200 Test Wickets

Jasprit Bumrah also picked up his 200th Test wicket with the dismissal of Travis Head. Having done so in his 44th Test, Bumrah became the fastest Indian pacer to reach the milestone, beating Kapil Dev, who picked up 200 wickets in 50 Tests.
Jasprit Bumrah also became the first bowler in history to take 200 Test wickets at an average of less than 20. Previously, Malcolm Marshall had the lowest bowling average for a bowler with 200 or more Test wickets. The West Indies legend picked up 376 wickets at an average of 20.94.
