MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020. The India legend played his last game for India at the 2019 World Cup and a year later, he decided to quit international cricket. Dhoni, who made his India debut in 2004, played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is. The 43-year-old hasn't retired from IPL and he continues to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the T20 league.
Dhoni, who is set to make his on-field return in IPL 2025, has made a huge statement and said that he does not miss international cricket. "I thought I will get more time, but sadly, I haven’t got much time. I don’t miss international cricket because I always believe you know you think about everything then you take a decision. Once you have taken a decision no point really thinking about that. So, I am very happy with God’s grace whatever I was able to do for my country," Dhoni said on the latest episode of ‘Tread Talks’ of Eurogrip Tyres.
"I have been able to spend a lot of time with friends, I can do a lot more motorcycle rides, not the long ones, that’s something very close to my heart. It has been good, family time, daughter questioning when you are coming back." Dhoni lives a private life in Ranchi and stays off social media. He makes very few public appearances.
Dhoni will play IPL 2025 as uncapped player
