India's captain Rohit Sharma brightened a young girl’s day by sending her birthday wishes from inside his opulent Lamborghini Urus. Currently, Rohit is taking a break from cricket after leading the Test team to a 2-0 series victory against Bangladesh. In a viral clip, Rohit was seen navigating through the bustling streets of Mumbai while driving his car in the midst of heavy traffic.
In the video, Rohit Sharma is spotted in a Lamborghini Urus valued in crores. Fans gather around to catch a glimpse of Rohit. Among them is a female fan who gets a chance to shake hands with him. During this interaction, someone from the crowd mentions that it’s her birthday. Rohit then takes a moment to wish her a happy birthday right there on the street, and the female fan's reaction is truly heartwarming.
It’s important to mention that Rohit declared his retirement from T20 International cricket after securing the title in the 2024 T20 World Cup. He currently competes exclusively in ODI and Test formats for the Indian team. Throughout his international career, Rohit has participated in 61 Tests and 265 ODIs. Additionally, he has played 159 T20 International matches. The Hitman has amassed 4,179 runs in Test cricket and 10,866 runs in ODIs. Furthermore, he has accumulated 4,231 runs in T20 Internationals.
Although Rohit has not suggested any possible retirement plans entirely, his childhood coach, Dinesh Lad, believes that Rohit may consider stepping away from Test cricket after the current World Test Championship cycle wraps up, given his age.
"No, look I am not saying that Rohit Sharma will announce his retirement after the World Test Championship, maybe he will. Because as his age is increasing, it seems that he may retire from Tests," Lad told Dainik Jagran.
"The reason for this may also be that he wants to keep himself fit for ODI cricket. However, I promise 100 percent that Rohit Sharma will play in the 2027 ODI World Cup. The type of cricket Rohit is playing is unbelievable," he further added.
