Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently explained the reason behind The Bloodline's surprise appearance on Monday Night RAW to SportsKeeda. The faction, led by Solo Sikoa, interrupted the main event where Jey Uso defended his Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker. The interference led to chaos as Jacob Fatu slammed Jey through the announcer's table, ultimately allowing Breakker to win the match. According to Russo, WWE used the incident to further the storyline, bringing Jey closer to Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns.
On his Legion of RAW podcast, Russo commented, "They used this as a pawn in the storyline with The Bloodline. Quite honestly, I don't think they really needed it. But they felt it added to the story, so that's why they did it." He emphasized that the decision to have Jey lose the IC title was purely "storyline-driven."
Jey Uso's title reign ended at 28 days with just one successful defense. The storyline now sets up potential revenge for Jey against Solo Sikoa and the rest of The Bloodline. It remains to be seen how this narrative will unfold in future WWE events.
