Two days after celebrating his first century for Team India against New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Sarfaraz Khan was given more reason to celebrate as he became a father following his wife giving birth to their first child.
The 26-year-old was blessed with a baby boy and shared pictures on his social media account on Monday (October 21) evening. Sarfaraz's father also took to Instagram and celebrated becoming a grandfather by sharing an image with the newly born baby and his older son. New Dad Sarfaraz will also celebrate his 27th birthday tommorow (October 22).

For those unversed, Sarfaraz and his wife Romana Zahoor married each other last year on 7th August. Zahoor was present with Naushad when Sarfaraz was handed his India cap in Rajkot earlier this year.
Will Sarfaraz Khan Play Pune Test?
Attention will quickly turn towards cricket for Sarfaraz with India set to play New Zealand in the second Test at Pune from Thursday (October 24). The right-handed batter's place in the side is under doubt despite his incredible 150 in the series opener as Shubman Gill is expected to be fit. The Mumbai batter played in the Bengaluru Test only because of an injury to the Gill.
Although, there is not doubt over Gill's inclusion, Sarfaraz will fight for a spot with KL Rahul. Rahul faces a fight to retain his spot after a horror outing in Bengaluru where he was dismissed for a duck in the first innings and later made just 12 runs in the second innings.
As far as Sarfaraz is concerned, he made his Test debut for India against England earlier this years after a long wait despite a Bradmanesque record in domestic cricket. In his debut Test, he scored 50+ scores in both innings. So far, Sarfaraz has played 4 Tests, made 350 runs at an average of 58.33 with one century and three half-centuries.
