Ace Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne left the commentators in the Sheffield Shield in awe, as he was seen setting up a very unusual yet funny field during Queensland's game against Western Australia. He brought himself on to bowl during WA's innings and left everyone in splits with his actions while setting the field for his delivery.
After winning the toss and electing to field, Queensland got off to a brilliant start as Michael Neser ran through the top order of WA. They were soon reduced to 18/3 before skipper Sam Whiteman and Hilton Cartwright added 59 runs for the fourth wicket.
After the latter departed in the 38th over, Whiteman and wicketkeeper Josh Inglis built a massive 203-run partnership to bail WA out of trouble. During this huge stand, Labuschagne brought himself on to bowl a few overs. Watch the video here:
In the 66th over of the contest on the first day, Labuschagne, bowling his second over, called one of his teammates to stand behind the umpire, setting a unique field, prompting one of the commentators to say, "I don't think I have ever seen that."
Once Labuschagne realised that the fielder was just behind the umpire, he pulled him by his trousers twice to bring him to a proper place and resumed bowling.
Inglis, who was batting on 83, didn't let his concentration be affected by Labuscha Wgne's on-field antics. He was dismissed only in the 80th over, by Matt Renshaw, after a 122-run knock.
