When Sourav Ganguly And Rahul Dravid Was Bowled Over By Ishant Sharma's Moves On The Dance Floor

It is rare to spot a cricketer setting the dance floor on fire, but back in the day, cricket fans were treated to an unexpected sight: Ishant Sharma, the towering, lanky fast bowler, showed off his lesser-known talent on the dance floor.
Back then, the concept of viral was still in its nascent stage; otherwise, the video would surely set the internet on fire. Such were Ishant’s moves, and legends like Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid, who were also present at the event, couldn’t help but laugh.
Ganguly was seen smiling and applauding, and Dravid, too, could not hide his grin.
This isn’t the first time that Ishant was spotted dancing.
Earlier, Indian basketball player Pratima Singh, who is also Ishant’s wife, had shared a video of them dancing together.
As far as cricket is concerned, Ishant was last seen in a white-ball match in the IPL 2024.
In red-ball cricket, he has opted out of the Delhi Ranji team this season.
“Ishant has made it clear that he is not available for the red-ball matches but might turn up for the white-ball tournaments Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy,” said a DDCA official to theindianexpress.com.
Ishant is among the rare breed of fast bowlers who have played more than 100 Tests for India.
“I never expected to play 100 Test matches. The sport’s allure fueled his dedication, a trait passed down from his father, a fast bowler who never had the chance to play for India. My father always encouraged me to follow my dreams,” he had fondly recalled.
Ishant Sharma had made his international debut against Bangladesh in 2007.
