The right-handed batsman once again breached the three-figure mark and scored his fourth century in Pakistan.
Brook broke a world record and became the first batsman in the world to slam four centuries in four consecutive Test matches in the country. Brook is playing his fourth Test match in Pakistan.
Brook, who made his Test debut against South Africa in September 2022, played his first Test match in Pakistan in December that year. He played a 153-run knock in England's first innings and followed up with 87 runs in the second innings.
Brook slammed a brilliant 108 in the second Test match. He continued his dream run in Pakistan and slammed another century in the third Test match. Brook played a pivotal role in England whitewashing Pakistan in the three-match series. He was bestowed with the Player of the Series award for scoring 468 runs in the series.
Brook didn't disappoint upon his return to Pakistan and kicked off the tour with a century. Joe Root also created plenty of records and recorded the 35th Test century of his career.
England dominate Pakistan
England bounced back strongly after losing the early wicket of Ollie Pope and they now trail by less than 100 runs. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett scored half-centuries. Root found a steady partner in Brook and they have added 221 runs for the fourth wicket so far.
Root is batting on 169 while Brook is nearing the 150-run mark. England dismissed Pakistan for 556. Given the nature of the pitch, the series opener could end in a tame draw.
