Sunil Gavaskar trolled Harry Brook after he was bamboozled by Varun Chakravarthy during the second T20I at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Brook blamed Kolkata smog for England's struggles against spin in the first T20I. "But with the smog the other night, it was a lot harder to pick. Hopefully, the air is a bit clearer here and we can see the ball a bit easier. Facing spin in T20 cricket is probably the hardest thing in the game, especially because I always get out trying to absolutely smack it," he said.

In the second T20I, Brook was castled by Varun Chakravarthy in the 7th over. As soon as the ball hit the timber, Gavaskar trolled Brook saying, "Light is clearer here. There is no smog."
Meanwhile, India won the toss and opted to bowl. Arshdeep Singh provided India with a wicket in the first over. He removed Phil Salt before Washington Sundar got rid of Ben Duckett. Varun removed Harry Brook while Axar got the wickets of Jos Buttler and Liam Livingstone to put India on top.
England would need a score of around 200 to have a match. The visitors are 136/7 in the 16 over, with Brydon Carse striking big, but 200 still looks far away.
Meanwhile, India made two changes to the playing XI, with Dhruv Jurel and Washington Sundar replacing Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh. Reddy was ruled out of the series due to a side strain while Rinku will miss the second and third game due to back spasms. India are 1-0 ahead in the series having picked up a massive seven-wicket win in the first T20I.
