Saim Ayub continued his red-hot form with the bat for Pakistan during their ongoing tour of South Africa during the third ODI of the series on Sunday (December 22) at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg as he scored the third ODI century of his career with a splendid knock of 101 runs in 94 balls.
Ayub's brilliance helped Pakistan post a huge total of 308 on the board, which helped them seal a 36-run victory (DLS method). The Mohammad Rizwan-led team completed a 3-0 whitewash and became the first team in history to whitewash South Africa in an ODI series on South African soil.
As far as Ayub is concerned, this was his second century of the series after a gritty knock of 109 in 119 balls in the series opener which helped Pakistan seal a three-wicket victory in a low-scoring clash. The left-handed bat has hit three ODI tons in the last month after scoring his maiden century in the first ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Saim Ayub Creates History
Ayub has made a huge world record by becoming the youngest player to score multiple tons against South Africa in ODI cricket. The 22-year-old is the first player to achieve the milestone against the Proteas (either home or away) before celebrating his 23rd birthday.
Apart from Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Kane Williamson, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz are the only players to score a century against South Africa in ODI cricket at the age of 22 or lower.

Ayub has had a remarkable tour so far, as he was the highest run-getter in the T20I series with 129 runs in two matches, with an incredible unbeaten knock of 98 in the second match proving to be the highlight. The youngster will open the batting for Pakistan in the two-match Test series starting on Thursday (December 26).
