Ace India batter Virat Kohli has got himself a new look ahead of the Boxing Day Test of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, in Melbourne. He was in action at the Brisbane Test that ended in a draw despite being tilted towards Australia for most of the game but thanks to the rain, India had a close shave and kept the scorecard intact.
Australia and India will head to Melbourne for the Boxing Day Test with the five-match series locked at one-all after bad light and heavy Brisbane rain swept away any chance of an outcome on the final day of the third Test at the Gabba.
Ahead of the much-awaited and celebrated Boxing Day Test, Kohli has unveiled himself in a new look. Hairstylist Jordan Tabakman, who works with tennis player Nick Kyrgios as well, posted a video of Kohli's haircut session. Watch the video here:
Unfortunately, the tour Down Under hasn't been very consistent for Kohli. On a rain-marred third day of the Brisbane Test, he copped yet another failure when Josh Hazlewood had him caught behind for just three runs as a struggling India ended at 51/4 when the stumps were drawn.
Kohli has fallen to deliveries outside the off-stump four out of five times in the series till now, prompting comparisons with a similar slump in England a decade back. On Monday, December 16, he was caught behind chasing a wide delivery that he could have left alone.
Kohli has travelled to Melbourne, expectedly with a lot of hope to turn his fortunes around. He had a brilliant outing at the famed MCG back in December 2014 and he would like to repeat that feat and take India 2-1 up in the series. A win in Melbourne will help India move a step closer to the World Test Championship final.
