ICC Champions Trophy 2025: India Vs Pakistan Date REVEALED After Hybrid Model Confirmation?

The future of the Champions Trophy 2025 was up in the air after India refused to travel to Pakistan to participate in the tournament. The long impasse has finally ended with ICC announcing that India and Pakistan will not travel to each other's countries in ICC tournaments from 2024 to 2027, including the Champions Trophy 2025, with their matches being held at a neutral venue. The ICC have still not announced the schedule for the Champions Trophy, but former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has revealed when the India vs Pakistan match might happen.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Rashid Latif claimed that the India vs Pakistan match for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will take place of February 23 at a neutral venue. This is contrary to earlier reports that stated that the high voltage match is set to take place on March 1.
Where Will India Vs Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025 Match Be Held?
India are set to play all their matches of the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, according to several reports. As per a report in Cricbuzz, the PCB wanted the matches to be played in Sri Lanka, but due to logistical reasons, UAE might be the the preferred choice.
India, Pakistan To Play In Netural Venues Till 2027
The ICC have confirmed that India and Pakistan will play all their matches in ICC events in a hybrid model in the 2024-27 cycle. This means that India will not travel to Pakistan for the Champipns Trophy 2025. Pakistan will also not travel to India for the Women's ODI World Cup 2025, and the T20 World Cup 2026 (which is jointly hosted by Sri Lanka).
The ICC have also awarded the Women's T20 World Cup 2028 to Pakistan as compensation. However, that tournament too will take place in the hybrid model, as India will not travel to Pakistan.
