Jasprit Bumrah BREAKS Ravichandran Ashwin Record On Day Of His Retirement, Becomes Player With Most...

An era in Indian Cricket came to an end as Ravichandran Ashwin announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after the third Test between India and Australia at Brisbane. He created many records in his illustrious career, and one of those records was broken on the very same day that he retired. It was broken by star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, one of India's greatest fast bowlers in history.
Jasprit Bumrah picked up three wickets in the second innings against Australia in the third Test, in addition to picking up 6 wickets in the first innings. He thus finished with 9 wickets in the game. Bumrah now has 66 wickets in the World Test Championship (2023-25) cycle. He beats Ravichandran Ashwin, who has taken 63 scalps, to become the bowler with the most number of wickets in this particular WTC cycle.

In an emotional post on his X account, Jasprit Bumrah shared an emotional message for Ravichandran Ashwin. He said that it was an honour and privilege to share the dressing room with the off-spinner. He also revealed that he was someone that he looked up to.
