'Players Don't Train Properly': Former England Captain Kevin Pietersen Makes HUGE Claim On Pakistan Cricketers

Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has said that from his playing days in the Pakistan Super League, he has seen local players not training properly and every win or loss being taken way too emotionally than it should be. Controversies have marred Pakistan cricket since times immemorial and the recent poor form across formats has acted like salt in the wound.
Pakistan are yet to win a home Test in the last two years and have now gone 11 games without a favourable result in the nation. Their recent rough patch, which includes a 0-2 series defeat to Bangladesh and an innings defeat to England on Friday has made matters worse.
After the recent result, former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur pointed out a few factors which have been ailing Pakistan cricket. Pietersen replied by saying that while the talent in the nation is "unreal", multiple factors are holding them back.
"From my time playing the PSL, the players don’t train properly and there’s way too much emotion involved in the win or loss," Pietersen tweeted.
Pietersen also gave insights as to what was wrong with the players' training regime during the Pakistan Super League.
"When I was with Quetta, the players trained too much, instead of training specifics. It’s good to look like you’re putting in long hours, but, you’re just tiring your body out," Pietersen replied to a fan's query.
The former England captain didn't stop at that and like many former Pakistan cricketers have time and again pointed out, Pietersen mentioned that the system is a problem.
"Not going to happen when the system is flawed. The system is deeply rooted in poor training methods and high emotions that need improving," Pietersen replied to another fan's query on X.
The Pakistan cricket team has been criticised by everyone after their innings defeat to England and reports suggest that they might drop ace batter Babar Azam from the squad for the second Test.
