How Ratan Tata's Fake Quote Inspired Mayank Yadav
Mayank Yadav burst on to the scene during the IPL 2024 for the Lucknow Super Giants, when he became the second fastest bowler that India has ever produced. He has even made a mark with the ball for India having got his maiden call-up during the ongoing series against Bangladesh.
In an interaction with The Indian Express during IPL 2024, Mayank Yadav, nicknamed The Rajdhani Express, said the he was inspired by a Ratan Tata quote which he had heard somewhere, to quit his job in the Indian Navy and pursue a career in cricket.
“I read somewhere that Ratan Tata said, ‘I don’t believe in taking right decisions; I take decisions, then I make them right’. That clicked for me,” Mayank had said.
However, the quote later proved to be a fake post that was doing the rounds on social media. Ratan Tata himself had never used those words.
Mayank Yadav Shines For India
Mayank Yadav was handed his Twam India debut in the 1st T20I vs Bangladesh. He had a great outing as refinished with figures of 1/21 picking up the wicket of Mahmaduallah. He also had a good show in the second T20I where picked up the wicket of Jake Ali, giving away 30 runs in 4 overs with the ball.
